The Barnes and Mullins Tenor Banjo is fitted with four metal strings and built to standard scale. It is ideal for either jazz pitch tuning (CGDA) or lower irish pitch (GDAE). The tenor banjo is usually played with a plectrum, either for strumming chords or picking out a tune. It is a good quality melody instrument excellent for accompaniment playing and equally good for individual play. It has been suggested that the tenor banjo is a good starter instrument as it is relatively easy to learn.
The BJ304 is a closed back model, with an aluminium rim. The Barnes and Mullins 4 string tenor banjo at this low cost is ideal for the beginner or enthusiat to improve their technique.
All of our banjos are checked over by our technician prior to dispatch.
